How Routale handles journey information, purchases and support requests.
Last updated October 6, 2026
Who is responsible?
Routale is provided by DMN MOBİLYA İNŞAAT TAAHHÜT SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ, trading as DMN Tech, Turkey. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@dmn-group.net.
Your journeys, stored on your iPhone
Routale stores GPS coordinates, timestamps, route statistics, journey titles, chosen photos, moments, Story drafts and exported Films in local app storage. No Routale account is required. Routale does not upload your journey library to its own remote database.
With your permission, location supports route recording, including while the screen is locked during a recording. Camera and photo permissions let you add or save media. Motion and optional Apple Health access provide step counts for walking statistics. Health data is used for those features, not advertising, and is not sent to RevenueCat.
Purchases and RevenueCat
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat processes purchase history and subscription status, an anonymous app user identifier, and technical information needed to validate purchases, restore access and provide subscription reporting. Routale does not receive your full payment-card details. Your GPS route and photos are not sent to RevenueCat by Routale.
Maps and network requests
Map views, map snapshots and place lookup may contact Apple or the configured map service, including OpenFreeMap. Requests can disclose your IP address and the geographic area or coordinates needed to display a map or resolve a place. MapLibre is the rendering library; the map provider supplies online content. Maps may not be available offline.
See OpenFreeMap for provider information. Mandatory map attribution is retained in exports.
Sharing and backups
When you choose to share an image or video, the selected app or recipient receives that content, including any route, places, photos and statistics visible in it. Their privacy practices apply. Review your Story before sharing home locations or other sensitive details.
Device or iCloud backups depend on your Apple settings and are separate from Routale cloud sync. Exported copies in Photos, Files or another app remain outside Routale’s local library.
Support and this website
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you send. Please avoid sending full routes or private photos unless needed for your request. Support information is used to respond and resolve issues.
These Routale web pages contain no advertising trackers, analytics scripts or embedded third-party fonts. The hosting provider may process normal access and security logs such as IP address, requested URL, browser information and access time to deliver and protect the website.
Purposes, retention and your choices
We process information to provide requested app features and purchases, respond to support requests and maintain security. Where applicable, processing is based on providing the service, your consent for optional access, legitimate interests in support and security, or legal obligations for transaction records. You can revoke device permissions in iPhone Settings; this may limit the corresponding feature.
Local journeys remain until you delete them or remove app data. Uninstalling the app removes its local data, but backups, exported files and purchase records may remain. Apple and RevenueCat retain records under their own policies and applicable requirements. Support correspondence is retained as necessary to address the request and meet legal obligations.
Privacy rights and international processing
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. Contact info@dmn-group.net. We cannot retrieve journey content that exists only on your iPhone.
Apple, RevenueCat, hosting and email providers may process information outside your country under their applicable data protection arrangements. Deleting local data does not cancel a subscription; manage subscriptions separately with Apple.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated where required.
